Media blasting is an efficient way of stripping a small but measurable amount of the log or wood surface to reveal the fresh wood surface under the damage. Media blasting is a cleaning and restoration technique that uses high-pressure equipment to propel abrasive material (referred to as "media") onto the wood surfaces of a home.

This process restores the wood to a lighter and more uniform color. Applying stain over media-blasted wood always appears fresher, newer, and lasts much longer when compared to staining over old layers.

Glass bead media is our most common choice because it is very effective, environmentally friendly, and non-organic meaning it won't leave any bacteria on the surface where the new stain is applied.
